Excellence in care, services and welcome is at the heart of Clinique Sainte-Thérèse's daily commitment, from pregnancy to the baby's first days. To continue providing quality support for young parents leaving the maternity ward, Clinique Sainte-Thérèse has teamed up with Malo, the application that takes care of your child and you.
Malo, the app that meets the needs of young parents
The Malo app was developed by Florian Le Goff, an e-health entrepreneur, and Professor Fabrice Denis, an oncologist, in response to the lack of follow-up for young parents leaving the maternity ward. The application comprises two areas: Mes Enfants (My Children) and Mon Intimité (My Intimacy), which provide personalised care for both children and their parents.
Each month, parents can access questionnaires to monitor the development of their children aged 0-7 and their own well-being. At the end of the questionnaires, they can take advantage of personalised advice and in-depth articles written by a multidisciplinary medical team. To ease the mental burden on young parents, who are confronted with multiple sources of information of widely differing quality, the Malo application only offers them content that is useful at a given moment. In this way, they can understand their children's awakening and development by getting straight to the point. In the My Children area, which has been designed as an intelligent medical diary, parents can also centralise their children's health data, such as vaccinations, allergies and growth curves, so that they are always available.
In the My Intimacy space, young parents can enjoy content based on seven key themes: self-esteem, reclaiming the body, relationships, sexuality, sleep, daily life and returning to work. As a specialist in predictive health, the Malo application can help identify certain conditions in children and parents at an early stage, such as DYS disorders and post-partum depression. The application also recommends referral to the child's GP if necessary, so that the child can follow a respectful care pathway.
"Malo has been designed to support parents from the moment they leave the maternity hospital. As a centre of excellence, the Clinique Sainte Thérèse can count on Malo to contribute to the health of parents and their children outside the clinic. I'm proud to be supporting the Maternity Unit team in this innovative deployment, a precursor to digitally-enhanced care." Florian Le Goff
Continuing to provide high-quality support when patients leave the maternity unit
Agnès Gepner, an anaesthetist at the Clinique Sainte-Thérèse, is also in charge of the Malo medical centre, a guarantee of the seriousness of the application. Her job is to form a committee of experts to think up the content available on the application.
Clinique Sainte-Thérèse is keen to offer young parents the support they need when they leave the maternity ward, and so wanted to join forces with the Malo app. To this end, our clinic is providing patients with informative content on the app, and our team of professionals has been trained to answer all their questions. Information leaflets are available for self-service at our clinic reception desk.
