Pink October at the Sainte Thérèse clinic
in Communication

On Tuesday 26 October, teams from the Sainte Thérèse clinic and SAMSIC took part in the Pink October initiative, an annual communication campaign designed to raise awareness of breast cancer screening.
According to the Ligue contre le Cancer, the year 2020 marks a historic decline in participation in organised breast cancer screening, with only 42.8% of women taking part.
But it's worth remembering that early screening can save a woman's life! Simple and 100% reimbursed, screening should be carried out every two years, from the age of 50.
In addition, gynaecological check-ups involving palpation by a health professional are recommended once a year throughout a woman's life, especially from the age of 25.
In 2021, 1 woman in 8 is likely to be affected. However, if detected early, breast cancer can be cured in 90% of cases!
