Dear parents,
Our teams have been mobilised since the beginning of this crisis and have adapted to the various obligations to protect our patients, but also to protect themselves from this epidemic. Certain decisions imposed by our guardians and peers have had to be taken, such as first limiting the presence of accompanying persons and then banning them. We were very saddened by this, but it was necessary.
However, we always tried to take our decisions humanely, which is why spouses were allowed to attend the birth and stay with the mother and baby for two hours after the birth, as recommended.
On the lookout for any changes, we noted yesterday that the CNGOF (Collège National des Gynécologues et Obstétriciens Français - National College of French Gynaecologists and Obstetricians) has come out in favour of allowing spouses to be present in maternity units .
Time for us to get organised and keep you informed:
From Thursday 29 April, under strict conditions & subject to any new developments, spouses will be able to visit mums in post-natal units.
- Limitation of comings and goings
- Possibility of sleeping on site
Of course, we have organised our practices so as to implement all the safety measures necessary for the smooth running of this new organisation , and we know we can count on your cooperation in respecting them (compulsory wearing of masks, hand washing, etc.).
These measures were reactivated on 12 October 2020.
