Over a glass of champagne on Wednesday 8 January 2020, practitioners and employees of the Clinique SAINTE THERESE gathered in the presence of the Director of the College of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians (CNGOF) - Professor Israël NISAND; the Chairman of the ALMAVIVA Group - Yann Coléou; the Mayor of the 17th arrondissement of PARIS - Geoffroy BOULARD; and the Director of the establishment - Jeanne RENOUX, to celebrate the official award of the LABEL MATERNYS.

The label plaque was presented to the Director by Professor NISAND, symbolising recognition of the Clinic's commitment to patient care. The Clinique SAINTE THERESE is the first maternity hospital in Paris to be awarded this label. The Director also thanked all the clinic's staff and practitioners, who work together every day to make the Clinique Sainte Therese a benchmark in the care of pregnant women.

Maternity units awarded the label undertake to take joint action with the CNGOF, based on information for women, transparency of data and assessment of patient satisfaction with their care.

The label has developed a tool called "Maternys"(website), the aim of which is to provide pregnant women with information about their care, not only during pregnancy, but also during and after childbirth.

It is based on 12 guidelines, the main aim of which is to promote good care. Labelling a maternity unit is therefore tantamount to recognising that it offers high-quality care in which the issue of good treatment is central.

The 12 guidelines for a certifiedmaternity unit :

  1. Transparency of maternity units with regard to certain data compared with national rates
  2. Improving information
  3. Early prenatal interview
  4. Newborn comfort
  5. Patient autonomy
  6. All emergency interventions are explained before discharge from the maternity unit
  7. Satisfaction forms
  8. Model birth plan offered to all patients
  9. 24-hour availability of demedicalised analgesia
  10. Appropriate care
  11. Patient support
  12. Staff training

MATERNYS has created a video presenting the label, so don't hesitate to watch it to find out more.

We are proud to share this great success with you and look forward to seeing you in our offices!
